Scratch-off ink continues to surprise

Who doesn't like a surprise? Hide a discount or a code in your printed matter under a scratch-off panel. Scratch off the coating and the prize, discount percentage or code appears. This effect can also be personalised. Guaranteed to rouse your customers' curiosity.

The 'surprise' is applied during offset printing. Then, we overprint a layer of silver, gold or white. And, if you like, we can overprint this layer in various Pantone colours, or with short texts or value patterns. These scratch-off inks can be overprinted yet again, either by us, using silk screen printing, or by you, using offset.

Opacity

With the exception of our white and transparent inks, all our inks have 100% opacity. Reduce translucency by choosing:

• heavier grammage 
• low-contrast printing
• extra printing on the reverse

Colours

• silver
• gold
• white* (not opaque, only a misty effect)
• silver + white (opaque)
• Pantone colours

*Would you like opaque scratch-off white? If so, a good option is to first print scratch-off silver, after which we apply one or two coats of scratch-off white. One coat produces a very light grey; two coats produce almost white. Simply ask our staff for advice.
