More about Fridge ink

Refrigerator ink is a special thermochromic ink that reacts to cold temperatures. Once the printed material has been left in the freezer for a few seconds or kept outside in the cold, a hidden image or text appears. This property makes the technique surprising and interactive: the message literally appears due to the influence of ambient temperature. This creates a playful effect that arouses curiosity and actively involves the reader in the printed material.

The applications are diverse and often creative. For example, refrigerator ink can be used for promotional campaigns where the recipient has to ‘discover’ a message for himself. Think of campaigns in the food industry, packaging that reacts to cold, or marketing material that responds to the perception of winter conditions. It can also be used in interactive communication tools where the hidden message only becomes visible under specific conditions.

The result is printed material that leaves a lasting impression by capitalising on surprise and perception. Refrigerator ink makes communication not only more striking, but also memorable: a cold surprise that actually makes the message warmer.
